Since graduating law school, Kevin P. Proud has dedicated his career to pursuing just compensation for victims who have suffered injuries at the hands of another. Kevin started his career as a clerk and joined Dion, Solomon & Shapiro in 2019. He regularly represents individuals who have been injured as a result of a motor vehicle accident, a slip and fall due to hazardous conditions, and premises liability due to poor maintenance or shoddy construction.

Prior to joining Dion, Solomon & Shapiro, Kevin practiced with a Montgomery County personal injury law firm. While at that firm, he worked on a variety of personal injury claims involving truck and automobile accidents, dram shop/liquor liability, negligent security, and limited tort cases. Kevin now handles all of these matters at DSS.

Kevin understands the uncertainty and anxiety that often accompanies an injury and prides himself on being accessible. He makes every effort to respond to inquiries within 24 hours if he cannot respond immediately due to already being engaged in another matter.

As a Philadelphia native, Kevin is a proud graduate of Temple University’s Fox School of Business and Management with a bachelor’s degree in economics. After graduation, he worked in a law firm accounting department where he gained valuable experience in working cooperatively with others. When Kevin enrolled at Widener University’s Delaware Law School, he expected to pursue a career in corporate law. However, his career path changed after a products liability course in his third year. Realizing the plight of victims and the need for them to have dedicated representation that recognized them as individuals, personal injury representation became Kevin’s passion.

While in law school, Kevin had the privilege of interning with the Honorable Thomas J. Rueter, United States Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. As a judicial intern, Kevin had the opportunity to observe a number of high-profile trials. This experience sparked his interest in pursuing a career as a litigator and was a perfect fit for a personal injury career. Kevin also was fortunate to have the opportunity to hone his legal research and writing skills while clerking for a Philadelphia-based intellectual property law firm. As a litigation department law clerk, he provided litigation support on disputes involving patents, trademarks, trade secrets, and copyrights.

When he is not practicing law, Kevin enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, following all of the Philadelphia sports teams and trying to resurrect his golf game. Kevin had the good fortune to join Philadelphia fans in London for a Birds’ game and also attended the 2018 Eagles’ Super Bowl parade.
